Tennessee Association of Blind Athletes

Living active and fulfilling lives through adventure!

Camp Overview

TNABA is excited to offer our 2nd annual Adaptive Sports Camp, TOTALLY FREE of charge, thanks to the generous support from our three community partners, TN School for The Blind, the VIS group of Cumberland County, and the Aldi grocery. This year’s camp will feature several of the premier sports and recreational activities for those living with vision loss. Camp VIVA is founded on the same simple principles as the TNABA’s mission, which is to provide the opportunity for inclusive activities for the entire family/community, no matter their ability and skill levels. What makes Camp VIVA so unique is the empowering peer on peer mentoring environment. That’s right, camp attendees will interact and learn from a wide range of successful adult and youth TNABA athletes, that already choose not to let blindness keep them from living life to its fullest, teaching much more than rules, techniques, and strategies on the court, rather life lessons off the playing field as well! VIVA means “to live”, and that is exactly what we want to instill throughout this three day camp, far impacting lives past the camps duration.
